There are a myriad of unexpected challenges that founders and leadership teams face during the Series A+ stage of scaling.

From 2015 - 2022 I was part of the leadership team at one of the fastest growing, most exciting consumer fintech businesses in Europe - ClearScore.

This is where my passion for this work stems from - I bring an experienced lens to this first phase of scaling, supporting founders and leadership teams to navigate these challenges successfully.  I can share the mistakes and triumphs I had leading our business from 1 to 10 million users, from building a marketing team from 1 to 30+, and from an unknown brand to a well-loved, high recall household name.  

I can bring insights from how we scaled our engineering team at break-neck speed whilst holding the quality bar high, how we built a reputation for a high performance culture, how we achieved outstanding scores for team motivation and satisfaction and how we built strong, diverse teams.

Having stewarded some of the most premium, admired brands in the world, and also having built brands from scratch in the start-up setting - I’m able to balance between being pragmatic and scrappy, whilst having a clear eye on what successful businesses require to operate at world class.

My formal studies underpin my practical experience.  Starting with my degree at Lancaster University, in Marketing Management (MSc) and later a Post graduate qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.  More latterly I have participated in the Program for Leadership Development at the world renowned Executive Business School IESE in Barcelona analysing some of the most fascinating scale up journeys in the world.
